Field of Light Announces Discounts for Students and Teachers
AUSTIN, TX (September 22, 2022) – Field of Light tickets go on sale to the general public today for all dates November through December 30, 2022 and will include discounted tickets for students and teachers with valid school IDs the first Thursday and Sunday of the month, starting in October. Artist Bruce Munro’s illuminating exhibition opened its doors on September 9 with a glowing response from the community. “We’ve received great feedback from guests since launching Field of Light earlier this month,” said Event Director, Sam Elkin. “To see family, friends and strangers come together to enjoy the beautiful landscape at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is so gratifying for Bruce Munro and our entire team.”
The exhibit, featuring 28,000 solar-powered stems of light spanning 16 acres in the Texas Arboretum at the Wildflower Center will be open until December 30. The experience, which caters to all ages, will also offer a Student & Teacher Night starting in October. Students and teachers can purchase a Field of Light ticket for $30, and must present a valid school ID upon entry. This offer is valid for the first Thursday and Sunday of every month beginning in October, including October 2 & 6, November 3 & 6 and December 1 & 4.
General public tickets start at $41 for adults and offer guests of all ages the chance to bask in this unique, immersive experience. In addition to being able to experience the Central Texas landscape in a whole new way, guests are encouraged to make a night of it by enjoying food and drinks from local vendors. Entry times are in 15-minute increments and guests may stay as long as they like to enjoy this self-guided experience at their own pace.
