INTERNSHIPS
We are pleased to offer paid internships in the fields of communications, operations, education, horticulture and research to qualified undergraduate students. Internships are open to UT Austin students as well as other students from local colleges and universities. When available, internship opportunities will also be posted on Workday.
Graphic Design Intern
Build your graphic design portfolio while helping bring the Wildflower Center’s mission to life through creative visual storytelling. Working with the Communications & Marketing team, you’ll design graphics for digital and on-site marketing, strengthen your design skills while following brand guidelines, and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative nonprofit environment. This paid internship is ideal for undergraduate or graduate students studying graphic design, communications, marketing or a related field. Education Intern
Help connect children and families with the natural world through hands-on environmental education. We’re seeking two enthusiastic college students to join the Wildflower Center’s Learning & Engagement team, where they’ll lead programs for school groups, homeschool students and young children, assist with educational events and outreach, and gain valuable experience in a public garden setting. Plant Conservation and Data Intern
Gain hands-on experience in both plant conservation and botanical data management while working with the Wildflower Center’s Learning & Engagement and Science & Conservation teams. This paid internship offers opportunities to research and improve the Native Plants of North America database, support seed banking and conservation horticulture, participate in fieldwork, and contribute to native plant conservation efforts.
