May 9 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Plant Sale

Our Spring Native Plant Sale will feature a variety of Texas natives, including perennial and annual flowers, grasses, wetland plants, shrubs and trees. Not only are they beautiful, but native plants also help conserve water; reduce mowing costs; provide habitat for birds, butterflies and other wildlife; protect the soil; and save money on fertilizer and pesticides.

Note: Please expect a smaller selection of plants during the last weekend of the sale (May 28, 29 and 30) and enjoy a discount of 25% off all inventory on those dates!

Friday - Sunday, April 2 - May 30
9 a.m. - 11 a.m. – Members Only
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. – Open to All

Plant sale reservations include garden entry and must be made in advance; please do not reserve two admission types. Plant sale reservations are available three weeks out on a rolling basis.

TICKET NOTES:

  • When you click to reserve your spot, the page may say "sold out." Simply click "other dates" and scroll the calendar to see which dates still have time slots available. Please only reserve plant sale tickets for those who will be shopping.
  • For any non-shoppers accompanying you to the Center, please reserve regular admission tickets.
  • Can't make it or bought too many tickets? Someone else would love your spot! Email our Guest Experience staff for cancellations.
  • If you are not able to reserve a spot, it is possible (but not guaranteed) that cancellations may allow for walk-up shopping. You must still reserve a general admission ticket to visit the Center.

What to Expect

For those of you who have been to our previous plant sales, things will look a little different this season. Building on the safe and successful sale we held in the fall, we're spreading the sale out over nine weekends, Friday through Sunday, with very limited capacity and timed entry. Our dedicated horticulture staff will be replenishing the open-air plant sale area throughout the sale and will be on hand to point you in the right direction. Please read our tips below on how to prepare for a great plant sale experience and help preserve a spacious atmosphere for all shoppers, staff and volunteers.

Members get exclusive entry 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. every day of the sale. Join now for early access (plus all the other perks of membership).

What You Can Do for a Great Plant Sale Experience

  • Reserve your spot in advance and plan to visit the plant sale when you first arrive at the Center. Reservations are every half hour for 30-minute shopping blocks, so please arrive at least 20 minutes before your block to make sure you can use your full time to shop.
  • Wear a mask and maintain 6 feet of distance (at minimum) from staff, volunteers and other guests. Please review all of our safety guidelines here.
  • Please make a reservation for every person, including children, who will be attending the sale. Space is very limited. If you are visiting with non-shoppers, they may explore the gardens while you shop.
  • Bring your own cart (if possible) to streamline your shopping experience.
  • Bring a full reusable water bottle and wear a hat and sunscreen. Most of the sale will be held in a semi-shaded area.
  • Make a shopping list using the plant list provided to minimize contact with staff and maximize your time in the shopping area. Note: Plants will be organized in the sale area alphabetically by their botanical name.
  • After you purchase your plants, please feel free to explore the Center.
  • Be prepared to pay with a credit card. No cash or checks will be accepted at the sale.

Plant Lists

The plant list will be posted within one week leading up to the sale and updated weekly throughout the sale period. Some species are available only in limited quantities and sizes. Please check back often for the latest list. (The most accurate version will be posted by Thursday each week.)
