Join us this fall for a new two-part family-friendly botanical preservation workshop! In the first part of our workshop, families will learn the unique art of pressing plants for both artistic and scientific purposes. With Conservation Botanist, Minnette Marr, families will get a special behind the scenes tour of our Herbarium and gain hands-on experience collecting and pressing specimens in their very own plant press. Families will return during the second part of our workshop to create their very own herbarium sample and cast their pressings in epoxy resin to create one of a kind coasters and pendants. Give as a holiday gift or keep for yourself!
This class is open to families, youth and adults, ages 12 years and up. No prior experience is necessary.
This two-part series will take place in person at the Wildflower Center. Space is limited and registration is required. Masks are optional. Please review our safety guidelines here.
