New to Texas, or just new to gardening with native plants? Howdy and welcome! Come on down to the official Botanic Garden of Texas to learn about everything from cacti to coneflowers and how to start a garden in the Lone Star State. Join Becky Engle, native plant extraordinaire, as you learn how to identify plants suited for your space, set your gardening goals and get the best tips for keeping plants and landscapes healthy in central Texas.

Don’t forget to stop by our Fall Native Plant Sale after your class to test your new found knowledge and get started on your fall planting!

This class will take place in person at the Wildflower Center. Space is limited and registration is required. Face masks are optional. Please review our Safety Guidelines before your visit.
