Summer Series: Watercolor Basics and Beyond

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until August 31, 2022
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is excited to continue a partnership with The Contemporary Austin Art School!
All levels are welcome. Beginners will be introduced to the watercolor medium using traditional approaches and color theory. Intermediate-level students will advance technique through practice and critiques while also improving composition skills. Demos will include wet-into-wet washes, wet-on-dry washes, and ways to create glowing color like those you see in our gardens and natural areas!
This class will take place in person at the Wildflower Center. Face masks are optional when attending this class. Please review our safety guidelines before your visit.
More options to stay creative this summer! Choose between one of two 7-class series offered at the following days and times throughout the summer:
- Wednesdays, June 1 – July 13, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Wednesdays, July 20 – August 31, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Space is limited and registration through The Contemporary Austin is required.
