One of the Center’s premier onsite educational resources and rental facilities, this space is perfect for conferences, training sessions, memorial services, small concerts and weddings. It has hosted everything from large group presentations to internationally known scientists, authors, photographers, horticulturists and storytellers.
In sustainability, the Auditorium features an inverted butterfly roof, which — along with the aqueduct, entry cistern and several other rain-harvesting features — contributes to the Center’s 70,000-gallon rainwater collection system.
Entrances located in all corners allow for easy access to many of our natural areas, while the ample foyer is an ideal setting for registration and breaks. A slide projector and top-quality audio equipment can be commanded from the director’s booth or the customized podium.
Overall, the warm but professional atmosphere fostered by the Center’s Auditorium facilitates both learning and communication. In addition to housing presentations hosted by the Wildflower Center, the Auditorium is available for outside events and it is located near two classrooms which can be rented for break-out rooms, luncheons and smaller meetings.
