We’re staying open late every Tuesday, March 19 – May 14, to make more hours for wildflowers! Make it a date night, a picnic with friends, or come for some solo solace in nature. Each evening will feature live music from local musicians, a rolling lineup of Austin’s favorite food trucks, and take-and-walk adult beverages for purchase.

Renowned poets Tess Taylor and Naomi Shihab Nye will read from the acclaimed anthology “Leaning Toward the Light“, Poems for Gardens and the Hands That Tend Them. Readings will take place from 6 – 7 p.m. in the Courtyard.
Much like reading a good poem, caring for plants brings comfort, solace, and joy to many. In this new poetry anthology, acclaimed poet and avid gardener Tess Taylor brings together a diverse range of contemporary voices to offer poems that celebrate a joyful connection to the natural world. This collection includes contributions by well-known contemporary writers and some of poetry’s exciting rising stars, including Ross Gay, Jericho Brown, Mark Doty, Jane Hirshfield, Ada Limón, Danusha Laméris, Naomi Shihab Nye, Garrett Hongo, Ellen Bass, and James Crews. Other features include a foreward by Aimee Nezhukumatathil, reflective pauses and recipes from contributing poets, along with original illustrations by Melissa Castrillon.
