Children benefit from learning and playing in nature, often demonstrating increased engagement, improved behavior, enhanced attention, increased physical activity and reduced aggression. This six-hour teacher training will familiarize teachers with the benefits of nature for children, highlight opportunities for outdoor learning, define nature play and evaluate the concepts of Risk vs. Hazard in outdoor learning environments. Teachers will earn 6 CPE hours for this training.
All teachers welcome. No prior experience necessary.
This training will take place in person at the Wildflower Center in a mostly outdoor environment. Space is limited and registration is required. Face masks are optional. Please review our Safety Guidelines before your visit.
