Bright green young leaves and catkins of an oak tree

Texas is home to over 50 species of oaks, each distinguishable by its leaves, acorns and structure. In this class, we will take a closer look into the morphology of our native trees and oaks and discuss how the form and structure of these mighty trees have been shaped by evolution. By understanding the inner workings of native oaks and trees, we find that the more we know, the better we can care for them.

Please meet in the Auditorium at 1 p.m.

Instructor: Dr. Alice Le Duc

This class is being offered as a free and open class to all.

This class will take place in person at the Wildflower Center. Space is limited, preregistration is encouraged but not required.
Please review our Safety Guidelines before your visit.

Thank you to our sponsor, Bartlett Tree Experts, for making this possible!
