Bug Night Out

What is crawling through the dirt at dusk? What types of insects take flight at night? Bring a flashlight to our family-friendly event and check out the nightlife at the Center! We’ll have mercury light stations to attract some of the coolest critters.

6:15 p.m.: Tips & Tricks for Cellphone Photography

Learn different techniques for taking photos with a cell phone along with various apps to enhance your photos. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to practice your skills on plants and wildlife at the Center!

6:15 & 7:15 p.m.: Insect Hunts

Join an expert on a walk to search for various insects living throughout the gardens. Each walk is limited to 20 people, so visit the information table to sign up!

7 - 9 p.m.: Mercury Light Stations

Visit the special light stations set up in the gardens to see what nocturnal insects are attracted to their glow!
