Scott Simons
Director of Marketing & Communications
Scott joined the Wildflower Center in March 2023. He previously served as Chief Marketing Officer for Gathered Foods and as Global Marketing Director for Whole Foods Market. Scott has extensive experience in experiential and digital marketing, brand-building and earned media, and his work has been awarded a Top Campaigns feature by AdWeek magazine.
Scott grew up in the piney woods of northeast Texas, where his love of our natural environment was nurtured from the start. He was given his first garden plot at about 12 years of age and has been an active gardener since. Scott is also a visual artist with representation at multiple galleries.
Scott has served on the Board of Trustees for the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS and on the Board of Directors for the Emergency Artists Support League and ArtReach Dallas. He also served on the Brand Advisory Board for Omni Hotels and Resorts and the Development Committee for The Contemporary in Austin. Scott has a B.F.A. from Texas Christian University.
