Dog Days

We love those wagging tails and slobbery tongues, so we’ve carved out a day for paws + plants. Grab your canine bestie and head our way for Dog Days, June 4, 2023. There’ll be dog yoga, pets for adoption and much more!

Humans: regular admission (members get in free)
Dogs: $5 per pup (free for members)

Guests can:

  • Enjoy a canine-friendly yoga classes with Austin Doga in the Family Garden. (Pre-registration is required. Sign up for the 9 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. session.)  
  • Take advantage of adorable photo opportunities, courtesy of our event sponsor, Tito’s – Vodka for Dog People.  
  • Head to our Library, where kids can read books to the therapy dogs from Divine Canines. (No non-therapy dogs in the Library, please.) 
  • Meet a few pooches looking for their forever homes during Austin Animal Center’s adoption event in our Great Hall. Can’t resist taking one home? All adopted dogs will receive an adoption kit, thanks to our event sponsor, Tito’s – Vodka for Dog People.
  • Order your drink of choice from Wildflower Café’s pop-up (or should we say pup-up) bar in the Courtyard.
  • Grab a free sample of eco-friendly dog food from The Conscious Pet, and more!

Please note: Dogs are welcome all day, but most of the action will happen between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

No bones about it — these are the rules!

  • Dogs must be leashed at all times and remain on marked trails.
  • As a courtesy to other visitors. Please bring only well-behaved, socialized dogs.
  • Leashes must be no longer than 6 feet. Retractable leashes are not permitted.
  • Dogs are not allowed inside Wildflower Café. Outdoor seating is available and we’ll have water stations scattered throughout the Center. 
  • Dogs may not enter any of the water features or ponds.
  • Keep those paws and noses safe! Stay on the trails.
  • Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and registration.
  • Handlers must pick up after their dogs and properly dispose of waste. Clean-up bags will be available on-site.
  • The Wildflower Center reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any dog thought to be dangerous to other dogs or visitors.
  • Dogs must not be tethered to a stationary fixture (such as a post or tree) or left unattended.
  • The Wildflower Center is not responsible for any injury or illness.
  • Each dog owner is responsible for their own dog. If your dog causes damage to any person or property, you are responsible.
  • An adult (16 years old and up) must maintain control of each dog’s leash at all times — limited to two dogs per handler.
  • Please give space to all humans and dogs. Do not allow your dog to approach other dogs or humans.
  • Dogs are the only companion animals permitted for this event.
