Hairy sunflower, 3-6 feet tall with leaves finely toothed, up to 6 inches long, tapering from 2 inches wide at the base to a fine point at the end. Stems and leaves are bristly. Ray flowers are 1 inch long and yellow. Disc flowers are brownish to yellow.
