The blossoms of Cryptantha palmeri grow on the upper side of a curved stem which straightens as the seeds form. The small white flowers, about 1/4 inch across, turn pinkish as they mature. The narrow leaves, 1 1/2- 2 inches long, are slightly wider toward the tip. The plant grows 8-12 inches tall, usually unbranched. Stem and leaves are covered with rough gray hairs.
