Leaf: Blades obovate to obtrullate, 2-3 inches long by up to about 3 inches wide, abaxial surfaces gray-tomentose in vein axils.
Fruit: Acorns biennial, broadly ovoid or ellipsoid. Cup turbinate, enclosing 1/3 nut.
