White Rocklettuce grows to 16 inches tall. Capitula are white with a yellowish center, about 2 inches across, with liguliform flowers of varied lengths, noticeably squared off at the ends, with fine teeth. They close by midmorning. Both the stems and the leaves contain a milky sap. Leaves are mostly at ground level, narrow and often lobed halfway to the midrib. Senescing flowers take on a pinkish hue.
