A low, compact shrub only 6 in. to 1 ft. tall with a spread of 3-5 ft. The small, shiny leaves of this tidy ground cover are dark green. Flower clusters are made up of small, dark blue blossoms.

Description: Layering may be the easiest method of propagation with this species.
Seed Collection: Because dry capsules disperse their seed abruptly with a sudden ejection, it may be necessary to tie cloth bags around the clusters of capsules to catch the seeds.
Seed Treatment: Seed dormancy may be broken with hot water treatments and cold-moist stratification.
