As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Affiliates are organizations that partner with the Wildflower Center to encourage the preservation and use of native plants in different regions of the country.

Native Plant Focus: Virginia native plants and their habitats, endangered species, unusual native plantsand habitats are recognized through a registry program. Chapter field trips and plant sales, and an annual workshop by the state organization are offered.

Description: VNPS is a non-profit organization interested in protection of Virginia's wild plants and habitats, and works to accmplish this goal through conservation, horticultural and educational efforts. There are currently twelve chapters in the state.
