Abstract
Examines the morphological and breeding system relationships of native Trifolium species, including T. reflexum, in comparison with the introduced T. repens, a widely used pasture species. Based on morphological characteristics, breeding systems, crossing relationships, chromosome numbers, and forage yields, it was concluded that all species are quite distinct and unrelated to T. repens. Trifolium reflexum is autogamously self pollinated but may also be cross pollinated to a limited extent in nature.Suggested Citation
