Habitat: Gravelly with dark loam mixed. Full sun. Grassy meadow. Occasionally mowed. Few scattered plants.

Description: Perennial herb to 30 cm tall. Yellow tubular flowers in clusters at top of stalks which arise from woody root stock. Leaves linear with sparse hairs. Corolla lobes fluted. ins. Somewhat showy.
