Shot: A whole plant. Photographer's note: "I learned of this hybrid location from Dr. Murray Evans (University of Tennessee). I first visited the site April 28, 1984. There was a single clump of the hybrid with both parents present. The Drypopteris celsa population is incredibly healthy. There were fronds up to a meter tall. We found the original hybrid cluster then found a second even larger population of the hybrid that wasn't there in 1984."
