Description: We have been professional plant people since 1987. But in 2001, after watching the devastation of our creeks and being told "nothing grows here", we set out to preserve the local natural beauty and educate naysayers about gardening with native plants. Native Texas Garden Designs has changed the look of suburban landscapes by restoring natural vegetation that has been displaced by exotic, high-maintenance invasive plants. We promote native plants, especially those that provide food and habitat for birds and butterflies. Through our designs, consultations, presentations and writing projects, we strive to keep our community beautiful and healthy.

Credentials: Graduate of Longwood Gardens Professional Gardener Training Program; bachelor of science in environmental studies (from Southwest Tx State); bachelor of arts in English (from Southwest Tx State)
