Abstract
Reports the finding of three compounds in Balduina angustifolia that showed significant inhibitory activity against cancer cells (tissue culture cells derived from human epidermoid carcinoma of larynx). The three known compounds included rotenone, helenalin, and hispidulin. The isolation of rotenone also provided the first instance for its occurrence from the Asteraceae.Suggested Citation
