Abstract
Recruitment of Iva frutescens was prevented in undisturbed habitats by dense turf. However mature marsh elders trapped tidal debris, which smothered vegetation and created bare spots where I. frutescens seeds could germinate. Seedling survival was enhanced under I. frutescens trees and at high seed densities.Suggested Citation
