Abstract
Photosynthetic rates and water use were quantified for Flaveria brownii (a C4-like plant), Flaveria linearis (a C3-C4 intermediary) and an F1 hybrid of these species. Flaveria brownii plants showed higher ratio of photosynthesis to mesophyll area at higher irradiance. This response was not observed in the other two genotypes investigated.Suggested Citation
