Abstract
Examines differences in leaf shape in natural populations of Asclepias tuberosa. The study reports on results from 1960-1973 of a long term study that started in 1946. The study follows clinal variation along a transect from Kansas to Virginia. This clinal variation is a result of natural selected related to tolerance of drought stress. In addition to clinal variation, local variation was also observed within closely related plants in a colony.Suggested Citation
