Abstract
Examines the relationship between allozyme frequencies and soil characteristics in Gaillardia pulchella, an obligate outcrosser. In variety pulchella, two allozymes were associated with soil types, either calcareous or non-calcareous. This represents ecotypes adapted to different soil conditions; however, it is not clear whether this adaptation was mediated by selection.Suggested Citation
