Abstract

Investigated photosynthesis in Scaevola plumieri, a dune pioneer species. The plant possesses the C3 photosynthetic pathway and has lower water use efficiencies. The article concludes that the species does not exhibit photosynthetic characteristics that are especially adapted to the habitat it occupies.
