Abstract
Researches the effects of spikelet type, seed form, and caryopsis size on the germination of Andropogon gerardii. Sessile spikelets tended to have higher germination than pedicellate spikelets. Germination percentage was higher for caryposes compared to intact spikelets. There were positive correlations between caryopsis size and germination, seedling root lengths, and shoot lengths.Suggested Citation
