Abstract
Examines external factors influencing the relationship between Yucca filamentosa and the moth pollinator Tegeticula cassandra, which also lays eggs in the developing fruit of Y. filamentosa. Since T. cassandra lays eggs in such a way that Y. filamentosa ovules are not damaged, Y. filamentosa is unable to regulate egg loads by T. cassandra. However, only a small percentage of T. cassandra survive and exit the fruit as mature larvae.Suggested Citation
