Abstract
Researches Solidago canadensis as a potential source of thrips that often migrate into adjacent cropping systems. Thrips are insects that feed on a broad range of plant hosts and damage a variety of crops. Solidago canadensis supported large thrips populations in the fall. Thrips were generally only collected from flowering plants and were highly aggregated in the flowers (rather than the leaves or fruits).Suggested Citation
