Habitat: Sunny, well drained, caliche slope. Among Poaceae and other herbs.

Description: Stout annual from tough root. Several branched above, to 60 cm tall. Leaves alternate, lanceolate, hirsute, dark green, to 1.5 x 4 cm; reduced above. Infloresence solitary in upper axils. Corolla pale blue, funnel-form.
