Location: Nelson Farm 3 km E of IH-37 in extreme south Bexar County.Latitude: 0.000000
Habitat: Deep sandy soil of drainage ditch, beside road, in semi-shade.
Description: Erect, 95 cm annual, from stout taproot w/many fibrous roots. Stalk 4 mm dia almost to upper 1/3 where it is much branched. Lower leaves not persistent. Leaves to .5x5 cm, most much smaller, alternate. Heads solitary, terminating loose, pedunculiform branchlets. Involucre campanulate. Rays 9-10, yellow, strap shaped; disk flowers 10+ with a pappus of a few scales.
