Habitat: Damp alkaline soil. Understory of Cornus, Quercus, & Sapindus.
Description: Erect, 2 m shrub, much branched. Branches & foliage w/short appressed hairs, mostly near petiolule & lower midvein of leaflets. Petiole to 2 cm. Leaflets 15+, proximately paired, to 15x35 cm, ovate-lanceolate, rounded basally, rounded/acute apically, medium green above, lighter & gland dotted below. Infloresence; terminal spikes, 6-11 cm long. Banner dark blue.
