Habitat: Plentiful in colonies, in open areas of Poaceae.
Description: Annual to short lived perennial, 25-30 cm tall, with roughly pubescent herbage. Most are unbranched, but some are branched on upper 2/3 of plant. Ray flowers yellow, 8, 37 mm dia, sometimes incised at tips. Disk flowers brown.
