Habitat: Damp, alluvial creek bank; often flooded. Half-day sun; large colony.
Description: Erect perennial, 1 m tall. Stalk simple, 4-5 winged (absent near heads). Leaves alternate, soft pubescent, linear-lanceolate, remotely crenate; narrowed basally to a broadly winged, sub-petiolar base. Rays and disk florets whitish.
