Original Format: Digital
Orientation: Portrait
Shot: Close-up of a flower. Photographer's note: "This is a red columbine flower. It is a common species that occurs mostly on carbonate substrate. This image was shot in the wild. The wind was fierce so the flower was bouncing around like crazy. I stopped down to F32 for good depth of field, ISO 400 and a shutter speed of 160th. I used a non-dedicated Sunpak 383 with diffuser on a sync-cord set to 1/2 full power to illuminate the upper part and a second Sunpak 383 with Firefly slave to illuminate the bottom. My camera was on a tripod and pre-focused. That is how I achieved the black background."
