Q. Who is Mr. Smarty Plants?

A: There are those who suspect Wildflower Center volunteers are the culpable and capable culprits. Yet, others think staff members play some, albeit small, role. You can torture us with your plant questions, but we will never reveal the Green Guru's secret identity.

Title: Ground cover for slippery slope
Answered by: Barbara Medford

QUESTION:

Dear Mr. Smarty Plants, I am looking for a ground cover for a slippery slope. Do you have any suggestions?

ANSWER:

We have some suggestions, but you probably wouldn't want to hear them. Our recommendation for slippery slope groundcover is equal parts patience with the same question asked 47 times, pleasure in talking to others about plants, and a low dose of sarcasm, when appropriate.
