Q. Who is Mr. Smarty Plants?

A: There are those who suspect Wildflower Center volunteers are the culpable and capable culprits. Yet, others think staff members play some, albeit small, role. You can torture us with your plant questions, but we will never reveal the Green Guru's secret identity.

Title: Rhizobium sources for bluebonnets
Answered by: Barbara Medford

QUESTION:

Where can you buy Rhizobium for your bluebonnet seeds?

ANSWER:

Please see this previous answer on the purchase of Rhizobium. It actually is not a necessity, and usually not even practical. In our "How-To Articles" is one on rhizobium. Bluebonnets grew on Texas land long before anyone heard of Rhizobium inoculation. You might try Native American Seed, if you feel your soil needs the inoculation.
