The authors have included 70 additional native plant species along with updated botanical names and additional general information on many of the plans. They have also removed all invasive exotic species from the book. Each description contains a detailed drawing for easily indentifying the plant, and both the common name and the hotanical name are given. Following the gnenral description are entires on propagation, soil and light requirements, culture, hardiness, salt tolerance, pests, and landscape uses. Descriptions of foliage, fruit, and flowers are enhanced by useful information about the season of maximan color.
