Shot: This plant blankets natural areas in early spring, particularly when the ground has been moist. Although a traditional concern to ranchers in south Texas (and thus the nickname "chokeweed"), Galium aparine is an intriguing short-lived natural groundcover with tiny white flowers and a unique texture.
