Shot: This plant is one of many native plants sharing space with unmulched Bermuda grass in a municipal park overlooking the creek in Round Rock. Although a traditional concern to ranchers in south Texas (and thus the nickname "chokeweed"), Galium aparine is an intriguing short-lived natural groundcover with tiny white flowers and a unique texture.
