Moist, sometimes inundated, alluvial soil. In heavy shade.
Description:
Erect monocot from bulbs encased in conspicuous, fiberous reticula. Leaves narrow, basal, linear, dark green, channeled, concave-convex in cross-section, shorter than the 1.5-5 cm scape. A membraneous spathe encloses the infloresence which is made of ovoid bulblets instead of flowers.
