Habitat: Mostly shaded by Celtis, Cornus, Ulmus, Quercus. Moist, alkaline soil.
Description: Erect, single stalked, small tree. Leaves alternate, pedicelate, ovate, serrate, about L=2W, under surface barely pubescent. Flowers in axillary pedunculate cymes, greatly exceeded by leaves. Fruit not present.
