Habitat:
Full sun; damp, alluvial soil, often flooded.
Description:
Perennial twining vine. Leaves opposite; blades elongate-deltoid, acute, 33-10 cm long, marginally undulate, bases sometimes cordate. Heads in corymbiform aggregations at end of branches. Ray flowers absent. Disk flowers 4/head, perfect, fertile. Achenes short-columnar, 5-ribbed, pappus persists.
