TEXAS PLANT CONSERVATION CONFERENCE
The Friendliest Little Plant Conference In Texas
The Texas Plant Conservation Conference is a professional-level meeting featuring keynotes, lectures, posters, and symposia that serve scientists, land managers, state and federal agencies, local governments, and other professionals with an interest in plant conservation in Texas.
Conference attendees explore current research and conservation projects on rare plants, native plant communities, plant monitoring methods and plant management practices for native Texas plants.
This conference is ideal for conservation organizations, agencies, academics and members of the public interested in native plant conservation. Highlights include keynote and plenary lectures, two days of talks, poster presentations, evening social events and field trips.
Past Conferences
2025
The 2025 Texas Plant Conservation Conference was an incredible three day event held at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center from July 16-18. This year’s theme, “From Rare Plants to Landscapes” highlighted the power and importance of collaboration and interdisciplinary work in plant conservation.
We hosted professionals from across the state who shared exciting work in horticulture, seed banking, rare plant recovery, spatial mapping, ecology, herbaria, and community engagement. We hosted the annual TORCH business meeting and the very first in-person Texas Plant Conservation Alliance meeting.
A huge thank you to Chris Best (USFWS) and Dr. Wesley Knapp (CPC) who delivered the keynote and plenary talks. We are so grateful for everyone who made it out and made the conference a success. Hope to see y’all in 2027!
