Description: Backyard Butterflies is a nonprofit and volunteer organization located in the piedmont region of North Carolina. We provide butterfly education, community outreach, and assistance with creating supportive habitats for butterflies and moths. Our online Plant Shop is open annually April 1 - June 30. We specialize in rare to common host and nectar plants to support Lepidoptera life cycles. All revenue generated from plant sales funds the operations and programs of the organization.
