Description: Helia recognizes that ecosystems, locally and globally, are becoming exponentially threatened by climate change, pollution and development. We have made it our promise to protect native plant diversity. We wild-harvest and propagate native perennial plants, trees, and shrubs, while preserving native genotypes through seed banking. Our primary mission is to provide native plants and seeds to the community, supporting the regeneration of ecosystems through sustainable landscaping. We are inspired to do this because native plants are critical to the survival of native pollinators, insects, amphibians, birds and wildlife. They also rebuild our soil food web, sequester carbon, reduce erosion, conserve water and eliminate the need for toxic chemicals in our backyards and wild areas.
