Tanya Zastrow
Director of Programs
Tanya has more than fifteen years of experience developing and implementing environmental curricula for youth and adult audiences. She joined the Wildflower Center in 2015 and currently oversees the Center’s education and volunteer programs.
Zastrow has dedicated her career to sharing her love of the outdoors with others. Prior to joining the Center, she served as the supervisory education specialist and volunteer and intern program coordinator at the U.S. National Arboretum. Her experience also includes acting as the first center director for Welty Environmental Center, a small nonprofit in Beloit, Wisconsin, and serving as an environmental education volunteer with the Peace Corps in Nicaragua.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in zoology and conservation and a master’s degree in parks and recreation resource management from Frostburg State University, Maryland.
